Kate McQuade is the author of the story collection Tell Me Who We Were, forthcoming from William Morrow/HarperCollins in 2019. Her first novel, Two Harbors, was published by Harcourt under the name Kate Benson, and her fiction and poetry have appeared in Black Warrior Review, Harvard Review, Baltimore Review, and Verse Daily, among other journals. She was named a 2017 Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers' Conference and is the recipient of awards and fellowships from Yaddo, the MacDowell Colony, the Ucross Foundation, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Vermont Studio Center, and the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars. A native Minnesotan, she holds degrees from Princeton University and the Bread Loaf School of English and teaches at Phillips Academy, Andover.
